Glenn R. Schiraldi, PhD, has served on the stress management faculties at the Pentagon, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the University of Maryland, where he received the Outstanding Teaching Award and other teaching and service awards. His books on stress-related topics have been translated into sixteen foreign languages and include: The Resilience Workbook; The Self-Esteem Workbook; Ten Simple Solutions for Building Self-Esteem; The Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Sourcebook; and The Anger Management Sourcebook. Glenn's writing has been recognized by various scholarly and popular sources, including The Washington Post, American Journal of Health Promotion, Mind/Body Health Review, and the International Stress and Tension Control Society Newsletter. He has trained laypersons and clinicians around the world on various aspects of resilience and trauma, with the goal of optimizing mental health and performance while preventing and promoting recovery from stress-related conditions. I am going through this workbook with my therapist. We have only gotten through the first six chapters, and already, it's made a HUGE difference in my life. I anticipate that I will be able to say that this book was literally life-changing for me, and that the decision to go through this workbook was a pivotal one in my life. If you think that you might even have mild self-esteem issues, I encourage you to get this workbook. I don't know whether it is advised to try to go through it on your own. I know that, for me, I wouldn't get as much out of it without the insights and guidance of my counselor.

I am a licensed counselor and I recommend this book to clients. I have seen great results.

Nothing in this book that isn't already common sense. Take care of yourself. Get some sleep. Get some exercise. Eat better. Well, no kidding, really? Right away it has you read all kinds dietary info that seems Greek to me. With this info it wants you to draw up your own diet. The whole thing just seems so out of touch with the realities of true low esteem. I reckon that people who find this book helpful are not truly struggling with low self esteem. The more one thinks about it, the more one has to doubt that any workbook could actually do anything for anyone.Another book for the donation pile.

I had some wrong ideas in my head. This book has enormously helped me in gaining an accurate understanding self worth. At first it felt counter intuitive, but when I applied those ideas in my life, I understood it's the right thing.

I am only a week in to this book and it has some how changed my life already. I was told about this book from a friend whom said.."Follow all the instructions and steps and take it seriously." Not going to lie. I was going to skip the first part where it has you do nutrition. It helps you with guidelines but it really makes you sit and think about how you can change your diet and believe me...having a good diet is helpful. Life throws you dodge balls all the time, you need to get physically better before working on the mental stuff which is going to be ten times harder. I recommend this book already and I havent even gotten past page 10 yet. Less than a week to go and I can honestly say that my diet is here for good. Change for the better is good.

I have only read through chapter 3 right now, but I have learned a lot from this book. However, I think the book is only effective if you are ready for change.

It has lots of exercise. They help change the way you may think of yourself. Gives messages to say to yourself to get rid of the negative ones that are present now.

This workbook helped me tremendously. I give so much honor and thank you to the Authors. Brilliant!
